Beavermead Campground is proud to offer a wide variety of events and workshops this summer.

In conjunction with Otonabee Conservation and other local organizations, these special events are open to the campers at Beavermead Campground as well as the general public. Come out and increase your environmental awareness and have some great fun at the same time!

Discovery Days #1
8th Yoga in the Park (10-11 AM) family friendly, bring mat/towel
Sciensational Snakes (1:00-2:00 PM) Get up close and personal with local species of snakes
Water Safety Display and workshop with Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron
9th Guided Paddling Tour of Little Lake (2:30-4:00PM)

 12th Yoga in the Park ~ family friendly, bring mat/towel (10-11AM)

Paddling Puppeteers ~ Interactive puppet show including songs of the Kawartha Lakes (1:00-2:00PM)

Turtles of Ontario ~ Live specimens (2:30-4:00PM)

Campfire ~ Meet at the Gatehouse for a campfire under the stars! (8:00-10:00PM)

Bat Walk ~ Join us for a night walk to learns about bat species and behaviour. (8:30-9:30PM)

13th OFAH/OPG Tackleshare Fishing Workshop~ Learn to fish. Includes games and fish identification. All equipment provided. (11am-1pm)

Otonabee Conservation Guided paddling tour of Little Lake ~ Bring your own canoe or kayak or borrow one of ours! (TBD)
