Located on beautiful Little Lake in the heart of Peterborough, Beavermead Campground has 95 individual sites, 18 un-serviced, 77 serviced (30 Amp hydro and 50 Amp hydro) as well as 1 group site to support your camping needs! Bring your RV, travel trailer or tent and come stay with us. Our comfort station offers showers and washrooms. We have a sanitary dump station for camper’s use.

There is also access to a beach as well as playgrounds in the adjoining Public Park.The local trails system connects with the campground for hiking and biking.

Paddle on beautiful Little Lake in the heart of Peterborough! Bring your own or rent a canoe or kayak from us. Flat water paddling is a recreational activity that anyone can enjoy.

Hike / Bike
The City of Peterborough and surrounding area has numerous multi-use linked trails for your enjoyment. The Rotary Greenway Trail starts at Beavermead Park and connects you to the rest of the trails system.
The Peterborough and Kawarthas countryside is rich and varied and the trails allow a great way to experience it. Include hiking or biking into your holiday recreation plans!
Enjoy time on the beach and go for a swim in beautiful Little Lake at the adjacent Beavermead Public Park, operated by the City of Peterborough. Make it a picnic and enjoy a lazy day, just a few minutes walk from the campground.
The beach is supervised by lifeguards from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, starting June 27th until August 24th. At all other times, the beach is unsupervised.
Occasionally the beach is posted due to high levels of E-Coli, the beach is tested by the Peterborough County-City Health Unit each business day.
No dogs on the beach. No alcohol allowed.
Beach Testing Results
Beavermead Campground is situated on Little Lake which is a great place to fish for pan fish such as perch, crappie and sunfish. Bass and carp are also found. There are areas for shoreline fishing and the calm flat waters surrounding the campground are perfect for boat or canoe fishing.
